Rashtrapati Bhavan Delhi

Rashtrapati Bhavan Delhi is the official residence of the President of India. The palace was built by Rajendra Prasad and has four floors and 340 rooms. Its floor area is 200,000 square feet. It was constructed using one billion bricks, three million cubic feet (85,000 cubic meters) of stone, and very little steel.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan is a stately building built on 33 acres of land in New Delhi. It has lavish gardens and waterbodies, and it has accommodations for over 2,000 employees. The complex is truly a self-contained oasis in the middle of the capital.

The building has a dome similar to the Sanchi stupa, and is home to the President of India. The building was officially inaugurated on 26 January 1950 and is now the official residence of the President of India. It was originally the residence of the Viceroy of India. But before that, the President of India was based in the city of Bengal.

The facade of Rashtrapati Bhavan features a central dome that is almost twice the height of the building. The dome is topped with the National Flag. Lutyens, the chief architect, admitted that he drew inspiration from the Pantheon in Rome, but other sources have found that the dome is very similar to the great Stupa of Sanchi, an ancient Buddhist monument in Madhya Pradesh.

Rashtrapati Bhavan is located on the western end of Rajpath in New Delhi. It was originally the Viceroy’s House, and was later the Government House. Today, it is the largest presidential residence in the world and a great example of European and Mughal architecture.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan is a four-story structure covering 200,000 square feet. It features 340 rooms, including the official residence for the President of India, a library, ballroom, reception halls, and more. It was built with 700 million bricks and three million cubic feet of stone and features a dome-like structure. The building also features acanthus leaves with four pendant Indian bells.
